This morning at Parkrose Community United Church of Christ - as part of a national "sacred" conversation on race called for by the United Church of Christ and the National Council of Churches - our worship service focued on racial issues. For the children's story the book Moses: When Harriet Tubman Led Her People to Freedom was shared. Our Scripture readings included Genesis 1:1-2a, Isaiah 58:1-14, Song of Solomon 1:5 and Matthew 22:34-39.
