McCain, Democrats Defeat Bush Anti-Gay Constitutional Amendment

Senator John McCain and a handful of other brave Republicans joined Democrats in the US Senate to defeat the majority of Senate Republicans and George W. Bush who were seeking to amend the US Constitution to ban same sex marriages.

This was a great victory for justice over bigotry.
