It wouldn’t be right to wait for another 24-hour period to go by without congratulating Boston on their victory over the Cardinals. The Red Sox played one amazing game after another. My first professional baseball game was watching the Cardinals, my home team as long as I’m in seminary, and what a treat it was. St. Louis is a town divided on many issues. But that isn’t true when the Cardinals play. When you’re in that arena and the Cardinals are up to bat you know what it means to be part of a city. St. Louis will come back and win again. In the meantime, way to go Boston! Let’s hope the win last week is a sign of things to come on Tuesday for another champion from Boston.
